Labels for microcentrifuge tubes and other containers are temperature resistant from -40 degree C to 121 degree C and can be used in boiling water baths, autoclaving, and moderate freezer temperatures. Chemically inert, polyester sheets resist most organic solvents and caustic agents. They adhere to most plastics, glass and metals without cracking, peeling or degrading. Tubes labeled with Tough-Tags easily slide in and out of centrifuge rotors without binding. Label sheets are specially top-coated to readily accept laser printing. For the best adherence and chemical resistance, they are recommended to be used on smooth surface cassettes. They can withstand solvent and chemical exposures in xylene for 2 hours, ethanol 100% for 8 hours, and hot paraffin wax for 2 hours. Preliminary testing is strongly recommended for use in automated vacuum tissue processors.
